South Korean prosecutors step up probes of Moon-era leadership

SEOUL — South Korean prosecutors are in hot pursuit of big political targets, investigating opposition heavyweights who served in the administration of former President Moon Jae-in.

Prosecutors have arrested a former defense minister over an incident in which a South Korean civil servant was killed by North Korea near the two countries’ disputed sea boundary in 2020.
