Simon Cowell becomes a father
The circumstances of Simon Cowell becoming a dad are a bit surprising. It all started when Cowell met Lauren Silverman, and the two hit it off right away. There were two big problems, though: not only was Lauren married, but she was married to Cowell’s close friend, Andrew Silverman.
Cowell and Lauren ended up having an affair together and things got very serious. In 2013, they announced she was pregnant, but things were a tad messy (more on this later) because she was still married to Andrew Silverman. By the end of 2013, Lauren had finally divorced Andrew Silverman, and she and Cowell welcomed their son Eric into the world on February 14, 2014.
