Summary

I Haven’t Done My Best Yet is a funny story of a voluntarily unemployed young man in his 44th year who embraces the dream of becoming a webtoon writer and challenges ‘newborn’ at his own pace.

First, Park Hae-jun as ‘Nam Geum-pil’, a voluntary whiunemployed te man in the 44th spring. With his bushy hair, dark beard, and warm face, he does not laugh or cry, but with a ‘smiling’ expression on his face, he guesses the life of an unhappy person. Despite all the ignorance and criticism pouring in from all around, he confidently dreams of becoming a webtoon writer by saying, “I am not an idiot, I am looking for my self.”

Kim Gap-soo, who plays the role of Nam-dong Jin, a father who feeds his unemployed son, is staring at his son fiercely. I can’t stand the anger that boils down from the danjeon at the pathetic behavior of the carefree golden pen in everything. A father’s heartbreaking desire for his unemployed son to “do a job that gets paid every month, no matter what,” reminds us of our mothers and fathers who do not spare their nagging words every day.

Park Jeong-yeon, who plays Nam Sang-ah, a daughter who lends pocket money to Baek-su’s father, also looks at his father as if she is worried. Sang-a supports her white-haired father, who knows how to do it all by herself, knowing that if she does something wrong, her father and her grandfather will worry and pay attention, but there is no way to hide the deep sigh that comes from her heart. In a nutshell, she may have even had her heart, “I hate being interested in me,” and I feel sorry for Sang-Ah looking at her immature father.
