Summary

Through the Darkness is a psychological crime investigation drama about the story of the first profiler in Korea who had to fiercely look into the hearts of serial killers at the peak of evil at a time when unmotivated murders were on the rise.

In the second teaser poster released, it contains the image of two men walking down the street with umbrellas on a dark night. The identities of the two men are Kim Nam-gil and Jin Seon-gyu, who unite as a criminal behavior analysis team at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency in the drama.

Here, the copy that can read “Why did you think you were the culprit?” and “Why did you think you weren’t the culprit?” is even more meaningful in line with the heavy atmosphere of the teaser poster.

Kim Nam-gil and Jin Seon-gyu leave such deep afterimages just by walking side by side in the rain.

Professor Kwon Il-yong, Korea’s first profiler, is the co-author of the non-fiction report ‘Those who read the minds of evil’, the original of the drama ‘Through the Darkness’. According to the production team of “The Story of a Man Who Keeps His Promises with the Victims at a Fierce Crime Scene,” Professor Kwon Il-yong said, “The book ‘Those who read the minds of evil’ is not a narrative of criminals, but of people who fight them. The drama ‘Through the Darkness’ is also a story about people who have to look at the inside of evil head-on and look deeper than criminals.”

He continued, “I looked into evil carelessly during this time. In order to catch the culprit, I had to look closely, and I was greedy.
