Summary

Moonshine is a fusion historical drama depicting the romance of a woman who seeks to change her life by brewing alcohol and a principled inspector who cracks down on moonshiners in the era of the strongest prohibition in history. It stands out that it is a work with a fresh subject called the Golden Age.

PD Hwang said, “‘Moonshine’ can be summarized as a story in which four young people oppose this taboo. I thought it would be fun,” he said. He emphasized, “I did my best to combine various genres so that I could follow the characters’ stories without getting bored.”

Yoo Seung-ho plays Nam-yeong, an elite detective in ‘When Flowers Bloom, I Think of the Moon’. It is a character of the Saheonbu inspectorate with outstanding ability who went to Seoul from a distant province to revive the family.

The female protagonist, Kang Ro-ro, is played by Lee Hye-ri. She was born into a noble family, but her father passed away and she became the head of the family. After waking up to the ‘world of moonshine’ in the Age of Prohibition, it shakes the world.
